‘Hops from England’ is a group of English growers who market their hops somewhat differently. We supply brewers in the US direct from our warehouses at Crosby & Baker Ltd. of Westport MA, Atlanta GA and West Sacramento CA.

Our English hops are grown in the deep rich fertile soils of Kent and Herefordshire, and bathed in the gentle English maritime climate. They are arguably the finest hops in the world. English hops are grown in a natural environment, with no need to irrigate, allowing the inherent fertility of the soil to enhance their aroma and flavour.

We can provide the highest quality hops at competitive prices because we run a highly efficient distribution service to our customers. We have shortened the chain from grower to brewer, and in so doing we keep our overheads to a minimum.

"Hops from England" are unique in supplying the US brewer, as our hops are processed directly after harvest at a central packing station close to our farms. Our pellets, FreshPaks and hop plugs are vacuum-packed and kept in refrigerated storage. Other suppliers of hops ship them to the US in bales or ‘pockets’, not in sealed vacuum packs. This delay, of weeks or even months, before processing causes the hops to deteriorate, and the extra links in the supply chain add further costs. But brewers can minimize their freight charges by amalgamating their orders for hops with other items from the Crosby & Baker catalogue.
